Adding a URL to Absolute Ultimate Cancun Links Hola! The AUCL directory is organized by categories making the directory easy to use, intuitive, and fair to everyone. To include your web site in our directory please follow these instructions. Step 1: Check to See if Your Site is already listed in AUCL. The fastest way to do this is to type your URL in the search box and submit. If your site is already listed it will appear in the search result. Note: If your site is already listed in AUCL but you wish to change its description, title, keywords or move it to a different category you need to use: update URL This URL is located at the top of every page in this site. Step 2: Go to the category where you wish to list your URL. Step 3: Select the add URL link at the bottom of the page. It is the same as the link you clicked on to get to this page. When you click on add URL in the appropriate category, an online form will appear. The top line of the content will read: ............................................................................................ You have chosen to add your url to the category: CATEGORY NAME ............................................................................................ CATEGORY NAME = The category name you are submitting to. This ensures you are listing in the correct category. The form is basic in scope, you are asked to submit your: name, e-mail, URL, description, keywords and password. The password is needed in case you wish to change your listing sometime in the future. Please do not loose your password. INCLUSION After you submit your site the submission goes in our queue for review. After an editor has checked the URL and validated the account the submission is then flagged for inclusion. Our indexes are updated reguiarly and your submission will appear in the category you submitted to. This entire service is free of charge and there is no charge to stay listed. KEYWORDS You should list accurate keywords for our search engine [SE]. The keywords you list do NOT have to be in your META tags. IMPORTANT: This is a short description of how our SE works. All URLs are listed in a MySQL database. Each listing is indexed using the following fields: Title|URL|Description|Keywords When you do a search, using the search tool you type a word into the search field and submit. The AUCL SE spider searches through the database and looks through the fields [see above] for listings with the keyword to match. When the spider finds the keyword [in the title, URL, Description or keyword] in a listing, it places that listing in the search results. You do not have to modify your keyword META tag. You simply submit the keywords you wish to use for your URL submission. You can also log into your URL account and add, delete or change your keywords. Adding keywords [spamming] that are irrelevant to the subject matter will result in the removal of your account privileges. Your listing(s) will remain, however ALL keywords will be removed leaving just your titles and description. ADDING YOUR URL TO MORE THAN ONE CATEGORY A URL can be listed in more than one category. For example if your web site is for a hotel/dive operation then you may list in Hotels and Scuba Diving. You cannot list your site in every category. You may only list your site once in a category [Hotel web sites are exempt see HOTEL -RESORT]. DOORWAY PAGES Doorway pages with relevant content information are permissible, so long as the rest of the site uses Cancun as the main topic or theme. Dooryway pages that are blank with a redirect will be rejected or eliminated upon discovery. HOTEL - RESORT Our present policy for Hotel/Resort web sites is that they may submit multiple listings. This is in respect to a hotel web site dealing with more than one hotel wishing to include a listing for each hotel and not simply the main web site. LINK SITES AUCL does list link sites.
